Montrose Himself!

And to lead the Royalist forces, none other than the Marquis of Montrose:

The figures are once again from Redoubt but the flag is a modified version of one from The Inevitable Spark blog.

    1. Thanks James but much as i would like to take credit for another's work I won't - I have to give credit to my friend Roger in this case!

  4. Wonderfully colourful figures. I am very tempted by the wars of the three Kingdoms.

    1. Thanks John. You should give in to temptation now and again! :-)

  5. Footnote:
I had a pack of 28mm Wargames Factory Coventers in my sweaty palms on Sunday and I almost got them

I was musing in a wargames shop for something Scottish

I bought a pack of 28mm Victrix Waterloo Highlanders instead (still don't quite know why .. think it was the "60 figures in box" that got me)

Next time I am back in the shop the Coventers will be closer to my pocket (and I'm blaming you)

    1. Interesting approach to new projects but each to their own! :-)

I think my shoulders are broad enough to take the blame, my friend - come on in the water's lovely! :-)
