Fistful of Lead: Reloaded

For our first club meeting of the year I put on a couple of games of Fistful of Lead: Reloaded.

The scenario was an adaptation of one from the core rulebook with some changes to suit my figures and terrain.  The brief went something like this:

The last stage deposited the railroad construction payroll with the Sheriff for the US Cavalry to escort it the rest of the way. There’s one problem, the cavalry hasn't arrived. This leaves it to the Sheriff and his Deputies to guard it until they do arrive. Unfortunately news of the payroll’s arrival seems to have become widely known. So to make things difficult for anyone with nefarious intent the Sheriff has hidden the gold and its single cavalry trooper guard in one of the buildings in the town.

I then gave each of the factions victory conditions which conflicted with at least two of the others and let the mayhem commence.  Unfortunately, there was so much going on I forgot to take many pictures.  Here are the couple I did remember to take showing a Town called Malice:

The East End Mystery

On Saturday it was the closest club meeting to Halloween so I put on a Victorian Horror game using Fistful of Lead: Tales of Horror.

A series of disappearances in the East End of London attract the attention of both official and unofficial detectives.

The player forces consistent of an Inspector and Sergeant from Scotland Yard accompanied by three local constables; and a certain consulting detective, his faithful companion and three irregulars.

Here are some photos from the game:

Galactic Heroes - Star Wars

I really can't recall what drove me to put on these games at the club but I suspect it was probably a combination of rediscovering my Wizards of the Coast Star Wars Miniatures figures combined with a desire to try out the Galactic Heroes rules from the Fistful of Lead family by Wiley Games.

Fortunately the rules have a number of examples clearly inspired by the Star Wars franchise - which was helpful given the limitations of the range of figures in my collection.

I decided on two linked scenarios, the first based around a crashed ship with the Rebels trying to prevent the Imperials from recovering the pilot and any information relating to the location of the rebel base.

Scenario 1 - Search and Recover

In the end the Rebels failed to either rescue the pilot (he was a casualty of the encounter) and some clues to the location of the Rebel base fell into the hands of the Imperials.  It did at least give the Rebels the chance to prepare for the inevitable assault on their base.

Scenario 2 - The Rebel Base
