Thanks to the generous folks over at the Grimsby Wargames Society I now have a flag for my unit of Bengal Light Cavalry. I decided they should represent the 3rd BLC Regiment which mutinied at Meerut:
Thanks Michael. I'm afraid I don't - finding flags for the Mutiny has proved to be rather tricky. Fortunately Grimsby Wargames Society has been producing some useful ones but the Punjab Cavalry isn't amongst them (as yet anyway). I'm looking for flags suitable for the rebels - I can use the standard regimental colours for the mutineers as they continued to carry them - but I need some for the non-sepoy troops
Wonderful looking unit Al. That blue is striking.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael - I think it works rather well.
DeleteAnd very nice they look too!!
ReplyDeleteCheers Ray
Deletevery nice unit.
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between Sikh wars or Indian mutiny
Do Both! :D
DeleteThanks. Both periods have things to recommend them but I was sucked in to the Mutiny by the Mutineer Miniatures figures.
DeleteI love then Al, you don't happen to know where I might find a flag for the 2nd Punjab Cavalry do you?

DeleteSplendid looking chaps they are. The flag really makes the unit too.
ReplyDeleteThank you - I think they have turned out rather nicely.
